Hip Procedures

Hip Replacement
Hip replacement involves removing the damaged ball-and-socket joint of the hip and replacing it with artificial components to relieve pain and improve mobility. It is commonly performed for severe arthritis or joint damage that doesn’t respond to other treatments.
Hip Resurfacing
Hip resurfacing preserves more of the patient’s natural bone by capping the femoral head with a ceramic surface rather than removing it entirely. It's often considered for younger, active patients with strong bone quality.

Revision Hip Replacement
Revision hip replacement is a complex procedure to replace or repair a previously implanted hip prosthesis that has failed due to wear, loosening, infection, or dislocation. It requires careful planning and may involve specialized implants or bone grafting.

Periacetabular Osteotomy
Periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) is a joint-preserving surgery that repositions the hip socket to better cover the femoral head, treating hip dysplasia and improving joint stability. It helps reduce pain and delay or prevent arthritis in younger patients.

Hip Arthroscopy
Hip arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure using a camera and instruments inserted through small incisions to treat conditions like labral tears or femoroacetabular impingement. It allows for quicker recovery and less tissue damage compared to open surgery.

Femoral Osteotomy
A femoral osteotomy involves cutting and realigning the femur to correct deformities or improve joint mechanics, often in cases of hip dysplasia or abnormal femoral angles. It helps redistribute forces across the hip joint to relieve pain and improve function.
